Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 5 Talbot Street, Dublin 1

From 2pm to 4pm

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! Focuse on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning through listening and reading exercises. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. This is free, useful and fun!

Wednesday, 29th August

Visit to Howth

Meet at 2pm at the school reception (5 Talbot Street)

Price: FREE

Howth is a lovely fishing village only half an hour from Dublin city centre. Join us for a walk along the seaside path or towards the harbour and maybe enjoy a very fresh fish and chips, breathe in some healthy sea air or get up the hill to get a good view of the coast line and Ireland’s Eye.

Thursday, 30th August

GPO Witness Visitor Centre

Meet at 2pm at the school reception (5 Talbot Street). Tour starts at 2:30pm.

Price: FREE

Want to learn more about the Republic of Ireland? Experience the story of modern Irish history at the 1916 Easter Rising Award Winning museum in Dublin at the GPO on O’Connell Street. There is normally an entrance ticket for this tour, but for you it’s FREE.

Please note: This visit must be booked in advance. Book at reception before Wednesday lunchtime.

Saturday, 1st September

Au Pair Club: Clay Modelling

Price: Free

From 1pm to 3pm at 45, Parnell Square West

Have a chat with other au pairs, sip a tea or a coffee and express your creativity while while modelling clay: create your own piece of art and be amazed by how much relaxing this activity can be!

Sunday, 2nd September

Trip to: Kilkenny, Glendalough & the Wicklow Mountains

Bus tickets: €30

Meet @the Gresham Hotel on O’Connell Street @08:00. Bus leaves @08:10.

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at reception before Thursday lunchtime.

This day tour includes some time in Kilkenny city, a tour of Glendalough’s Monastic city and a visit to the village of Annamoe.
