Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 5 Talbot Street, Dublin 1

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week, you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Viva la Vida’ by Coldplay, focusing on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning through listening and reading exercises. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can hear it here.

Visit to: Howth

Meet at 2pm at the school reception

Howth is a lovely fishing village only half an hour from Dublin city centre. Join us for a walk along the seaside path or towards the harbour and maybe enjoy a very fresh fish and chips, breathe in some healthy sea air or get up the hill to get a good view of the coast line and Ireland’s Eye.

Thursday, 24th May

Central Cinema Club

Price: Free

At 2:30pm at 5 Talbot street, ROOM#1

Central Cinema Club is back: Practise your English watching a movie on the big screen. English subtitles and popcorn provided for your enjoyment! This week’s screening: Back to the Future – Marty McFly, a 17-year-old high school student, is accidentally sent thirty years into the past in a time-travelling DeLorean invented by his close friend, the maverick scientist Doc Brown.

Saturday, 2nd June

Au Pair Club Café

Price: Free

From 1pm to 3pm at 45, Parnell Square West

Practise your English, meet other Au Pairs and enjoy a cup of tea and coffee and some delicious sweets. The perfect mix for a delightful Saturday afternoon.

Trip to: Kerry, Dingle Peninsula and Killarney

Bus tickets: €65

Meet on O’Connell Street at “Discover Ireland” Office, next to Savoy Cinema @ 06:15am. Bus leaves @6:25

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at reception before Thursday lunchtime.

The Kerry Day tour visits the highlights of this mystical and unspoilt region. It includes stops at Adare Village, Killarney National Park, Killorglin, Dingle Bay and Inch Beach.
