Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 5 Talbot Street, Dublin 1

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week, you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Fast Car’ by Tracy Chapman, focusing on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning through listening and reading exercises. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can hear it here.

Visit to: Glasnevin Cemetery

Meet at 2pm at the school reception

Glasnevin cemetery is a gorgeous Victorian garden and an impressive Necropolis. This is a very interesting place to explore the legacies of Ireland’s heroes. Access to the cemetery is free but you can also visit the cemetery museum and climb the iconic O’Connell Tower: this is the tallest round tower in Ireland (55 meters), you get to experience 360 degree panoramic breathtaking views to the north, south, east and west across all of Dublin, Wicklow and the Irish Sea.

Central Cinema Club
