Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week, you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Gravity’ by Leo Stannard, focusing on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning through listening and reading exercises. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can hear it here.

Visit to: Hugh Lane Gallery

The Hugh Lane gallery is a modern art gallery located on Parnell Square. This is the first modern art gallery in the world! It was, in fact, built in 1763 by Hugh Lane (an Irish art dealer). The gallery, as it is nowadays, has a permanent collection and hosts several exhibitions, mostly by contemporary Irish artists.

Central Cinema Club

Price: Free

At 2:30pm at 5 Talbot street, ROOM#1

Central Cinema Club is back: Practise your English watching a movie on the big screen. English subtitles and popcorn provided for your enjoyment! This week’s screening: Juno – a 2007 American coming of age comedy-drama independent film. Ellen Page stars as the title character, an independent-minded teenager confronting an unplanned pregnancy.

Spring Party

Location: The Workman’s Club, in the Vintage Room (upstairs)

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks

Let’s celebrate Spring together! This Friday is the school’s now famous Spring party. Enjoy great music provided by the club’s DJs, free finger food and great company of course! All this in the stylish Vintage Room which will be reserved just for us. Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Au Pair Club Café

Meet other Au Pairs, get some sweet treats and enjoy the company while practising your English.

Bus tickets:€40

Meet at 7:50am at Molly Malone on Suffolk Street. Bus leaves at 8:00am

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at reception before Thursday lunchtime.
