It’s Christmas time and why not learn some English through the lyrics of a Christmas tune! You will go through the lyrics of the Christmas song ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ by the Slade. Focus on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning! Get the general sense of the song and discuss it! Hear it here.

Don’t miss the screening of ‘Nightmare before Christmas’, a 1993 dark fantasy comedy musical film produced and conceived by Tim Burton. It has become a beloved Christmas classic for everybody!

For those of you who do not know the plot, here’s a short summary:

The film follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloween town’s beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in the ‘real world’. When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life – he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously wrong…
