Tuesday Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 5, Talbot street

Price: Free

Another workshop on learning English through the lyrics of famous songs! This time you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Up & Up’ by the alternative rock music band Coldplay. Focus on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning! Get the general sense of the song and discuss it! Hear it here

Visit to the National Gallery

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

The National Gallery of Ireland is located in the heart of Dublin and holds the national collection of European and Irish fine art. A must see if you are into art!

Friday, 11th November

Pub night: O’Reilly’s

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks

Location: Tara Street Station

Meet there at 9pm or at the school reception at 8:50pm.

This lively Victorian era pub has a very good buzz and what’s more drinks are among the cheapest in Dublin! Cheap beer, good music and cool people… what more can you ask? Come along and enjoy your Friday night with us!

Saturday 12th October

Au Pair Club Café

1pm to 3pm – At 5, Talbot Street

Price: Free and open to all au pairs! (Not just our students – we welcome all au pairs working in and around Dublin)

Come to have a good cup of tea or coffee and to sample some sweets while enjoying the company of other au pairs, just like you!

Sunday 13th October

Day Trip: The Giant’s Causeway

Price: €60

Departure: 06:30am. Meet at 06:20 at Molly Malone Statue on Suffolk street.

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at the reception before Thursday lunchtime.

This trip includes a stop at the dark hedges, a tour of the Giant’s Causeway, the crossing of the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, a photostop at Dunluce Castle, and some time in Belfast city.
