Why not learn English through music? It’s fun and effective: go through the lyrics of popular songs with Marina, focus on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning, get the general meaning of the song and discuss it. Curious about which song you’ll be working on? Join our free workshop on Tuesday afternoon!

Trip to Howth
Meet at the reception at 2pm
Price: Transport price: €6.10 for the DART
Howth is a lovely fishing village only half an hour from Dublin city centre. Join us for a walk along the seaside path or towards the harbour and maybe enjoy a very fresh fish and chips, breathe in some healthy sea air or get up the hill to get a good view of the coast line and Ireland’s Eye.

Visit to Leinster House (The Irish Parliament)

Friday, 9th September
Pub night: The Workman’s Club
Price: Free in, buy your own drinks
Location: 10 Wellington Quay, Dublin 2
Meet there at 9pm or at the school reception at 8.50pm.
This pub, located by the Liffey, is on two floors, is usually very busy and has great music! Come along, meet other students and practise your English while enjoying your Friday night at the Workman’s!
Saturday 10th September
Au Pair Club – The Bernard Shaw Flea Market
1pm to 3pm – Meet at 5, Talbot Street
Price: Free and open to all au pairs!
The Bernard Shaw Flea Market is a weekly market with approx 16 stalls, music, pizzas from the Big Blue Bus and the Bernard Shaw Garden Bar. Expect vintage clothes, shoes, jewellery, art, records, bric-a-brac and more. DJs will provide the entertainment.
Sunday 11th September
Day Trip: Belfast City tour
Departure: 9am. Meet at 8.50am at Paddy’s Palace, Lower Gardiner Street.
Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at the reception before Thursday lunchtime.
Trip includes visit to the ruins of Monasterboice, 2-hour free time in Belfast before experiencing a tour of the Titanic Museum (entry for the Titanic experience included!)
