You are all invited to join our free second workshop in the series ‘English & Literature’. Ilaria will read with you some of Oscar Wilde’s work. Keep on practising your English through literature!

Wednesday, 17th August

Trip to Howth

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

Price: Bus ticket: €6.60 return

Come and enjoy a visit to the beautiful harbour town of Howth. Just a short bus ride from Dublin city centre and you’re at the seaside. Enjoy the fresh sea air, climb the famous Hill of Howth, maybe sample some some fresh fish and chips!

Trip to The Old Jameson Distillery

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

Price: Entrance: €13 with a student card, €16 without

See how they make one of Ireland’s most famous whiskeys on a guided tour around the old distillery in Smithfield, founded in 1780 (the distillery, not the tour). The tour ends with a comparative tasting, giving you an understanding of the key differences between Scotch, American and Jameson Irish Whiskey. You’ll also get a Jameson Ginger and Lime. Enjoy responsibly!

Pub night: The Celt

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks

Location: 81 Talbot St, Dublin

Meet there at 9pm or at the school reception at 8:50pm.

Feeling like listening to some good traditional Irish music, in a lively atmosphere and surrounded by cheerful people? Then, you should join us at the Celt this coming Friday! Meet other students and keep practising your English while holding a good pint!

Day Trip: Kilkenny, Wicklow mountains & Glendalough

Price: €28

Departure: 08:10am. Meet at 08:00 at Gresham Hotel on O’Connell Street

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at the reception before Thursday lunchtime.

Trip includes visit to the Wicklow mountains, a tour of the site of Glendalough and some time in Kilkenny.
