Visit to the National Library of Ireland & St. Stephen’s Green park

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

The National Library of Ireland collects and preserves the documentary and intellectual record of the life of Ireland. What’s more, it usually hosts exhibitions: the current one is about the life and works of the Irish poet William Butler Yeats. After having explored the library we will head together to St Stephen’s green: an oasis of green calm right in the city centre.

Thursday, 9th June

Trip to Malahide

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

Malahide is a modern village with a traditional feel, a picturesque countryside coastal town in North County Dublin, yet only half an hour from Dublin City! Let’s explore it together!

Friday, 10th June

Pub night: Porterhouse (Temple Bar)

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks

Location: 16-18 Parliament St, Dublin 2

Meet there at 9pm or at the school reception at 8:50pm.

The Porterhouse in Temple Bar is Dublin’s first pub brewery. It brews, in fact, itself great beers and it offers a huge choice of different beers from all around the world. What’s great is also the live music you can enjoy there: both traditional music sessions and rock music are performed during the weekend!

Saturday 11th June

Au Pair + Summer Social Club: Picnic at Merrion Square park

1.15pm to 3.15pm – Meet at 5, Talbot street at 1pm (or in Merrion Park).

Price: Free and open to all students and au pairs working in Ireland!

We are delighted to launch the new combination of the Au Pair Club and the Summer Social Club! We’ll call it the, er, Au Pair and Summer Social club! Every one is welcome. For this first, social and fun activity you are all invited to join our intern Dario for a picnic (and maybe to play some football after it!) at Merrion Square Park! If you fancy it, feel free to bring along something cooked by you, like some special dish of your own culinary tradition. But if not, don’t worry! There’ll will be plenty of food there already! Meet Dario at the school reception in Talbot street at 1pm and…enjoy!

Sunday 12th June

Day Trip: Connemara

Price: €40

Departure: 06:30am. Meet at 06:20 at Molly Malone Statue, on Suffolk street.

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at the reception before Thursday lunchtime.

Trip includes exploring of Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, a visit to Killary Sheep Farm and some time in Galway City.
