Monday Workshop Series: Learn English through lyrics of popular songs

Price: Free and open to all students!
Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Galway Girl’ as sung by Ed Sheeran. Focus on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning! Get the general sense of the song and discuss it! Hear it here.

Visit to Trinity College Library and The Book of Kells
Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.
Admission ticket: €8 if our group is formed by at least 10 people – otherwise €9 for ordinary student admission fee.
Join us on the visit to the magnificent Old library of Trinity College constructed in the 18th century. We will also take a look at the ‘Turning Darkness into Light’ exhibition that tells the story of the Book of Kells: a 9th-century gospel manuscript famous throughout the world. Oh, and we’ll also see the book itself.

Pub Night: The Czech Inn
Price: Free in, buy your own drinks
Location: Essex gate, Temple Bar, Dublin 8
Meet there at 9pm or at the school reception at 8:50pm.
Welcome the weekend and enjoy some really good time with fellow students. Have a drink (why not a Czech beer?), dance or play fussball or pool if you wish but most of all chat, chat, chat to practise your English!
Saturday, 20th May
Au Pair Club Café
1pm to 3pm – At 5, Talbot Street
Price: Free and open to all au pairs!
Come and have a good cup of tea or coffee and to sample some cakes while enjoying the company of other au pairs.
Sunday, 21th May
Guinness Storehouse Tour
Admission Fee: €15
Meet at 10:40am outside the Guinness Storehouse
Tour starts at 11:00am.
Please note: this tour must be booked in advance by Thursday lunch time!
Come along with us for an experience at Ireland’s top visitor attraction.
At the Guiness Storehouse you will learn what goes into making the ‘Black Stuff’ – the ingredients, the process, the passion. The tour ends in Gravity Bar, where visitors will receive a complimentary pint of Guinness while relaxing and enjoying spectacular views of Dublin.
