Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 45 Parnell Square West

From 2pm to 4pm

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Killer Queen’ sung by Queen, focusing on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can here it here

Wednesday, 28th February

Board games at the Black Sheep

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

How about a relaxed early afternoon having a chat, a fresh brewed beer and some fun with board games? Join your fellow students and enjoy your Wednesday in a very cosy and friendly Irish pub.

Friday, 2nd March

Pub night: Token

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks.

Location: 61 Capel St, Dublin 1

Meet there at 9pm or at 8.50pm at the school reception

Token is the new trend in Dublin! Bar, retro arcade, and pinball parlour space. Who wouldn’t enjoy travelling in time and play some retro videogames in great company and, of course, with a good beer too! We hope to see you all there… maybe in the queue, waiting to play Pac-Man!

Saturday, 3rd March

Au Pair Club: Café

1pm to 3pm – At 45 Parnell Square West

Price: Free and open to all au pairs!

Coffee, tea, cookies, chats and lots of au pairs just like you… have fun while speaking English!

Sunday, 4th March

Trip to: Guinness Storehouse

Price: €15.50

Meet at 10:40am outside Guinness Storehouse.

Tour starts at 11:00am

Please note: This trip must be booked by Thursday lunchtime.

Come along with us for an experience at Ireland’s top visitor attraction. At the Guiness Storehouse you will learn what goes into making the ‘Black Stuff’ – the ingredients, the process, the passion. The tour ends in Gravity Bar, where visitors will receive a complimentary pint of Guinness while relaxing and enjoying spectacular views of Dublin.
