Monday, 19th February

Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 45 Parnell Square West

From 2pm to 4pm

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Killer Queen’ sung by Queen, focusing on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can here it here

Wednesday, 21st February

Visit to: National Library of Ireland and Natural History Museum

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

FREE

Let’s visit together these two interesting and close located museums. Reading rooms to explore and giant deer skeletons and a variety of mammals, birds and fish to discover.

Friday, 23rd February

Pub night: Porterhouse Central (Trinity)

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks.

Location: 45 Nassau St, Dublin 2

Meet there at 9pm or at 8.50pm at the school reception

Porterhouse Central is a lively pub with a welcoming atmosphere. The Pub offers an extensive range of imported bottle beers, along with wines, cocktails and micro self-brewed draught beers.

Saturday, 24th February

Au Pair Club: Café

1pm to 3pm – At 45 Parnell Square West

Price: Free and open to all au pairs!

Coffee, tea, cookies, chats and lots of au pairs just like you… have fun while speaking English!

Sunday, 25th February

Trip to: Howth

Price: €6.10 DART return ticket

Departure: Meet at 10:30am outside of the school at 5, Talbot Street.

Please note: Let us know by email or at the school reception if you want to join this trip by Friday lunchtime.

Howth is a lovely fishing village only half an hour from Dublin city centre. Join us for a walk along the seaside path or towards the harbour and maybe enjoy a very fresh fish and chips, breathe in some healthy sea air or get up the hill to get a good view of the coast line and Ireland’s Eye.
