Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

From 2pm to 4pm
Price: Free and open to all students!
Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! Focus on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning through listening and reading exercises. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. This is free, useful and fun!
Wednesday, 7th November
Visit to National Library and Archaelogical Museum
Meet at 2pm at the NEW school reception 46, Parnell Square West
Come along and visit with us the National Library, which holds an exhibition that celebrates one of the great poets of the twentieth century. Also, discover gold, bog bodies, ceramics, glass, Viking artefacts as well many other archaeological objects found in Ireland and around the world at the Archaeological Museum. Both visits are Free!
Friday, 9th November
Cinema Club: Projecting ‘Song of the Sea’
At 2:30pm, at 46, Parnell Square West
This week we are projecting a fascinating award-winning Irish animated movie, visually beautiful and with an enchanting soundtrack. This is the story of an Irish youth, who discovers that his mute sister is a selkie who must find her voice and free supernatural creatures from the spell of a Celtic goddess.

Au Pair Club Café
From 1pm to 3pm at 45, Parnell Square West, Dublin 1
Are you an Au Pair? Then the Au Pair Club is the place to be! Meet up with other au pairs, share your experience, get treated with coffee, tea, cookies and practise your English!
Sunday, 11th November
Trip to: Celtic Boyne Valley
Meet at Gresham Hotel on O’Connell Street at 8:00am. Bus leaves at 8:10am.
Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at reception before Thursday lunchtime.
This day tour includes some time in Kilkenny, a visit to the Monastic site of Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains.
