Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

Price: Free and open to all students!
Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week, you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Gravity’ by Leo Stannard, focusing on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning through listening and reading exercises. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can hear it here.

Trinity Library and The Book of Kells
Meet at 2pm at the school reception (5 Talbot Street)
Price: €11 with student ID
Join us on the visit to the magnificent Old library of Trinity College which was built in the 18th century. See the beautiful “Turning Darkness into Light” exhibition with the famous Book of Kells: a 9th-century illuminated gospel manuscript.
Wednesday, 1st August
The National Gallery
Meet at 2pm at the school reception (5 Talbot Street)
Price: FREE
The National Gallery of Ireland is located in the heart of Dublin and holds the national collection of European and Irish fine art. The gallery has recently inaugurated the renovated old wings and is well worth a visit.
Friday, 3rd August
The Globe

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks
From 9pm there (or meet us at 5 Talbot Street at 8.45pm)
Cool people, good music… come along and enjoy your Friday night with us at the Globe! Try and beat Simon – our reigning champion – at foosball, show your best moves on the dancefloor or chat all night long (in English, of course!), whatever you like.

Au Pair Club Café

From 1pm to 3pm at 45, Parnell Square West
The Au Pair Club Café is back again this week! Practise your English, meet other au pairs and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits.
