Monday, 25th June

Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 5 Talbot Street, Dublin 1

From 2pm to 4pm

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week, you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Gravity’ by Leo Stannard, focusing on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning through listening and reading exercises. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can listen to it here.

Tuesday, 26th June

Greystones to Bray Cliff Walk

Meet at 2pm at the school reception (5 Talbot Street)

Price: €9.25 DART return ticket

The east-coast walk is about 7 kilometres, starting from the bandstand on the Bray Promenade and ending at Greystones Harbour. The walk takes about 2 hours to complete and is suitable for all abilities. It is home to numerous types of seabirds and various types of colourful wildflowers that add to the natural beauty of the walk. The keen observer might also spot dolphins, black harbour porpoises and basking sharks swimming in the waters around the Cliff. Wear comfortable shoes!

Wednesday, 27th June

Visit to: Howth

Meet at 2pm at the school reception (5 Talbot Street)

Price: €6.10 bus return ticket

Howth is a lovely fishing village only half an hour from Dublin city centre. Join us for a walk along the seaside path or towards the harbour and maybe enjoy a very fresh fish and chips, breathe in some healthy sea air or get up the hill to get a good view of the coast line and Ireland’s Eye.

Friday, 29th June

School Pub Night at O’Reilly’s

Below Tara Street Dart Station

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks

From 9pm there (or meet us at 5 Talbot Street at 8.45pm)

This lively Victorian-era pub has a very good buzz and what’s more, drinks are among the cheapest in Dublin! Cheap beer, good music and cool people… what more can you ask for? Come along and enjoy Friday night with us!

Saturday, 30th June

Au Pair Club Café

Price: Free

From 1pm to 3pm at 45, Parnell Square West

Practise your English, meet other Au Pairs and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. The perfect mix for a delightful Saturday afternoon.

Sunday, 1st July

Trip to: Cliffs of Moher

Bus tickets: €35

Meet at the Molly Malone Statue on Suffolk Street @06:40. Bus leaves @06:50.

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at reception before Thursday lunchtime.

This day tour to the Cliffs of Moher also includes a stop at Doolin, the Burren National Park and some time in Galway City.
