Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 5 Talbot Street, Dublin 1

From 2pm to 4pm

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week, you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Hotel California’ by The Eagles, focusing on the pronunciation of the words and on their meaning through listening and reading exercises. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can hear it here.

Visit to: Dublin Castle & Chester Beatty Library

Meet at 2pm at the school reception

Once a military fortress, a prison, treasury, courts of law and the seat of English Administration in Ireland for 700 years, Dublin Castle now functions as a site for important State receptions and Presidential Inaugurations. The Chester Beatty Library is on the ground of Dublin Castle and is renowned for its outstanding collection of Asian and Middle Eastern art.

Thursday, 17th May

Central Cinema Club

Price: Free

At 2:30pm at 5 Talbot street, ROOM#1

Central Cinema Club is back: Practise your English watching a movie on the big screen. English subtitles and popcorn provided for your enjoyment! Saturday, 19th May

Au Pair Club Café

Price: Free

From 1pm to 3pm at 45, Parnell Square West

Meet other Au Pairs, get some sweet treats and enjoy the company while practising your English.

Sunday, 20th May

Trip to: Connemara

Bus tickets:€ 40

Meet at 6:20am at Molly Malone on Suffolk Street. Bus leaves at 6:40am

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at reception before Thursday lunchtime.

Trip trip includes visit to Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, Killary Harbour Cruise Glengowla Mines and Inagh Valley
