Monday, 5th February

Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 45 Parnell Square West

From 2pm to 4pm

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Flaws’ sung by Bastille, focusing on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning. You’ll also understand the general sense of the song and discuss it. You can here it here

Wednesday, 7th March

Visit to: Dublin Castle and Chester Beatty Library

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

Castle admission Ticket: €5,50.

Library admission ticket: FREE

Once a military fortress, a prison, treasury, courts of law and the seat of English Administration in Ireland for 700 years, Dublin Castle now functions as a site for important State receptions and Presidential Inaugurations. The Chester Beatty Library is in the grounds of Dublin Castle and is renowned for its outstanding collection of Asian and Middle Eastern art.

Thursday, 8th March

Central Cinema Club

Price: FREE

At 2:30pm at 5 Talbot street, ROOM#1

Central Cinema Club is back: Practise your English watching a movie on the big screen. English subtitles and popcorn provided for your full enjoyment!

Saturday, 10th March

Au Pair Club: Café

1pm to 3pm – At 45 Parnell Square West

Price: Free and open to all au pairs!

Coffee, tea, cookies, chats and lots of au pairs just like you… have fun while speaking English!

Sunday, 11th March

Trip to: Guinness Storehouse

Price: €15.50

Meet at 10:40am outside Guinness Storehouse.

Tour starts at 11:00am

Please note: This trip must be booked by Thursday lunchtime.

Come along with us for an experience at Ireland’s top visitor attraction. At the Guiness Storehouse you will learn what goes into making the ‘Black Stuff’ – the ingredients, the process, the passion. The tour ends in the Gravity Bar, where you will get a free pint of Guinness while relaxing and enjoying spectacular views of Dublin.
