Monday Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Change’ sung by Tracy Chapman. Focus on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning. Get the general sense of the song and discuss it. Hear it here

Once a military fortress, a prison, treasury, courts of law and the seat of English Administration in Ireland for 700 years, Dublin Castle now functions as a site for important State receptions and Presidential Inaugurations. The Chester Beatty Library is on the ground of Dublin Castle and is renowned for its outstanding collection of Asian and Middle Eastern art. It currently hosts the exhibition of Francisco Goya: The Disasters of War.

Welcome back to all the Au Pairs, to the old ones and the new ones, too! You can all get together, as usual, and enjoy some tea, coffee, pastries and have plenty of chats…in English!

Trip to: The Cliffs of Moher

Price: €39

Departure: At 06:50. Meet at 06:40 from Molly Malone Statue on Suffolk Street.

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at the reception before Thursday lunchtime.

Trip includes a visit to Doolin, The Burren National Park and some time in Galway City
