Wednesday: Hugh Lane Gallery | Friday: Music Workshop & Pub Night at Cassidy’s | Saturday Au Pair Club: Café | Sunday Visit: Cork & Blarney Castle
Wednesday, 1st November
Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.
The Hugh Lane gallery is a modern art gallery located in Parnell Square. This isn’t an ordinary gallery: it is the first modern art gallery in the world! Why is it worth visiting? Because among the beautiful works of art you can see there, there are several French masterpieces such as The Umbrellas (Les Parapluies) by Auguste Renoir, Portrait of Eva Gonzalés by Édouard Manet, Jour d’Été by Berthe Morisot and View of Louveciennes by Camille. Furthermore, you’ll see an amazing reproduction of Francis Bacon’s studio, an Irish-born British figurative painter and you’ll be blown away by his unique and grotesque style.
