Monday Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

Price: Free and open to all students!
Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Basket Case’ sung by Green day. Focus on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning. Get the general sense of the song and discuss it. Hear it here
Wednesday, 20th September
Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.
Enjoy wild nature right in the city centre: walk with us throughout beautiful, vast expanses of grass, climb hills and find out where the deer wander into the woods.
Friday, 22nd September
Culture Night: Epic Ireland
Price: It was €12 but for you it’s FREE.
Location: CHQ, Custom House Quay, Dublin 1
Meet at the school reception at 4.30pm. Visit starts at 5pm and finishes at 6pm.
On Culture Night enjoy for FREE a visit to Epic Ireland! This is a museum but out of the ordinary. A journey through Irish immigration history and an amazing interactive experience!

Pub night: Porterhouse (Temple Bar)
Price: Free in, buy your own drinks.

Meet there at 9pm or at 8.50pm at the school reception
A great mix of fantastic beer (the Porterhouse is Dublin’s first pub brewery) and music, together with good company, make this pub perfect to enjoy your Friday night in Dublin. We then hope to see you all there!

Sunday, 24th September
Day Trip: Enniskerry Village & Powerscourt Gardens
Bus tickets: €5.20 return.
Powerscourt Gardens admission ticket: €8 – Student with ID
Meet outside the school at 5, Talbot street
Please note: Let us know if you are joining us by communicating it at the school reception or by sending us an email! There is no need to pay in advance.
We will meet outside the school at 10:20am. For those of you who want to join directly at the bus stop, the stop ID is number 272 on Upper O’Connell street. We will take the bus number 44, direction: Enniskerry. We will get off in Enniskerry village: from there Powerscourt Gardens are about 25 minute walking distance. Wear comfortable shoes! We will spend some time there, explore the gardens and enjoy our lunch and maybe have a coffee there (lunch and coffee are not included in price of the trip)! Once we are happy with our tour at Powerscourt we can head back to Enniskerry village and have a walk around there before catching the bus back to Dublin city centre.
