Monday Workshop Series – Learn English through the lyrics of popular songs

At 45 Parnell Square West

From 2pm to 4pm

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Stitches’ sung by Shawn Mendes. Focus on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning. Get the general sense of the song and discuss it. Hear it here.

Wednesday, 30th of August

Visit to the National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street.

Price: FREE

Join us on a tour of the National Museum of Ireland. The museum hosts outstanding examples of Celtic and Medieval art, such as the famous Ardagh Chalice, the Tara Brooch and the Derrynaflan Hoard.

Friday, 1st September

Pub night: The Globe – Foosball Challenge

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks.

Location: 11 South Great George’s Street

Meet there at 9pm or at 8.50pm at the school reception

The Globe is a lively pub with a large nightclub downstairs. There are 2 DJs, good beer and it’s open until late. Join us for a pint and great music. We’ll also have a Foosball competition!

Saturday, 2nd September

Au Pair Club: Café

1pm to 3pm – At 45 Parnell Square West

Price: Free and open to all au pairs!

Come and have a cup of tea or coffee and some cake, cookies or fruit while enjoying the company of other au pairs.

Sunday, 3rd September

Day Trip: Celtic Boyne Valley

Price: €35

Departure: 8am. Meet at 7.50am at the Molly Malone Statue on Suffolk Street.

Please note: This trip must be booked in advance. Book at the reception before Thursday lunchtime.

Trip includes a visit to the sacred site of Loughcrew Trim Castle, Hill Of Tara, some time in the village of Slane, a visit to the religious site at Monasterboice and two hours in the historical town of Drogheda.
