Monday Workshop Series: Learn English through lyrics of popular songs

Price: Free and open to all students!

Learn English through the lyrics of famous songs! This week you will go through the lyrics of the song ‘Believer’ sung by Imagine Dragons. Focus on the pronunciation of the words, through listening and reading exercises, and on their meaning! Get the general sense of the song and discuss it! Hear it here.

Visit to The National Gallery

Meet at 2pm at the reception at 5 Talbot Street

Price: FREE

The National Gallery of Ireland is located in the heart of Dublin and holds the national collection of European and Irish fine art. The gallery has very recently inaugurated the renovated old wings and is now hosting the exhibition ‘Vermeer and the Masters of Genre Paintings’.

Friday, 30th June

Pub Night: The Czech Inn

Price: Free in, buy your own drinks

Location: Essex Gate, Temple Bar, Dublin 8

Meet there at 9pm or at the school reception(5 Talbot Street) at 8:50pm.

Welcome the weekend and enjoy some really good time with fellow students. Have a drink (why not a Czech beer?), dance or play fussball or pool if you wish but most of all chat, chat, chat to practise your English!

Saturday, 1st June

Au Pair Club Café

1pm to 3pm – At 45 Parnell Square West

Price: Free and open to all au pairs!

Come and have a nice cup of tea or coffee and some cake, cookies or fruit while enjoying the company of other au pairs.

Sunday, 2nd June

Day Trip: Enniskerry Village & Powerscourt Gardens

Departure: 10:45 from Upper O’Conneoll Street, bus stop ID 272. Bus 44 to Enniskerry.

Please note: no need to book in advance for this trip

Meet at 10:20 outside the school.

Bus tickets: €5.20 return

Powerscourt Gardens admission ticket: €8 – Student with ID

Please note: Let us know if you are joining us by communicating it at the school reception or by sending us an email! There is no need to pay in advance.

We will meet outside the school at 10:20am. For those of you who want to join directly at the bus stop, the stop ID is number 272 on Upper O’Connell Street. We will take the bus number 44, direction: Enniskerry. We will get off in Enniskerry village: From there Powerscourt Gardens are about a 25-minute walking distance. Wear comfortable shoes! We will spend some time there, explore the gardens and enjoy our lunch and maybe have a coffee there (lunch and coffee are not included in the price of the trip)! Once we are happy with our tour at Powerscourt, we can head back to Enniskerry village and have a walk around there before catching the bus back to Dublin city centre.
