Every year at the Central School of English there is a special party to mark the end of the year and wish each other well as we go off on our holidays.
This year, the Central School of English Christmas Party will take place at the Black Sheep Pub (downstairs in the function room) on Capel Street from 9pm to 12am on Friday, 8th of December.
There’ll be plenty of festive fun with free finger food and games, a competition for the most Christmassy outfit and a large party room all to ourselves in this trendy bar.
Of course, it’s free, you’re very welcome to bring friends or family with you and there’s a full bar with a wide range of craft beers. (You have to buy your own drinks!)
We hope to see you there!
If you haven’t been to one of our Christmas parties, there are, below, some pictures from previous years to give you a flavour.
So, in 2011 it was a small party – but we were a very small school back then; just a few month’s old and with only a handful of students. But hey, check out that mirror ball!
A busier year and a busier party the following year. And the reindeer joined in the fun.
This one was held at 45 Parnell Square West. Notice the poster advertising the party in the background. There’s a copy of it on display now on the stairs at 5 Talbot St.
Actually this isn’t the party. These are students dressed up for a charity run on the beach at Bull Island.
This one’s in the pub. The Czech Inn, to be precise. Well, the beer was cheap.
By last year, the Christmas Party had become so popular, we needed our own pub to host it. We think our photography is getting better too! Can’t wait for this year!
